Churchill Downs purchases Ellis Park. U of E open food pantry. WNIN Kidsfest on Saturday.

Officials have announced Churchill Downs’ plan to purchase Ellis Park in Henderson. The transaction totals $79 million dollars with another $75 million dollars for renovations. The University of Evansville opened an on-campus food pantry for students facing food insecurity. More information on the program, visit evansville.edu. Saturday is the WNIN Kidsfest on Main Street from 10 am to 2 pm.
